The i7 7660U in my Surface Pro too does heat up more than any other time when it is scanning in the background. Be it idle or active, task manager will always peg it at ~9% CPU usage. Even a system with a i7 6800K feels the pressure.

It is so rigid that it won't even let me install REGISTERED keys on different machines. My Home PC, Surface Pro and 2 PC's at work cannot belong to the same email account anymore. Bitdefender Central is a daft idea and WILL NOT let you install multiple instances of Bitdefender with DIFFERENT keys on different devices. They have always been detected and quarantined unless my express command forbade the action. I've been a long term user of Bitdefender (6 years) and I've never had an issue with virus/worms/trojans etc. Autopilot is indeed like having auto pilot. Scan options are plenty and scheduling is a breeze. Interface is slick AF and it does trick you into thinking it is a premium product. I do not know how else to explain this scenario.

Hence now I'm sitting with 3 copies of registered Bitdefender products but only one PC running actively at a time. For instance I cannot have a Bitdefender Total security and Bitdefender Antivirus Plus (or multiple instances of either) withing the same account registered to my email ID. Somehow Bitdefender hasn't wrapped their heads around the fact that a person with the same email ID can have multiple systems or devices with different requirements of security.

Not every thing on internet is safe nor 100 secure.īWhile the antivirus itself has never generated any problems as such, the issue happens when you try to have multiple devices under the same account (registered email). So for safety - first download and scan using Bitdef then only extract it. Norton has the feature to scan your torrents and downloads as soon as you download it but Bitdef doesn't have this feature. You may not know if the file contains any virus until you've downloaded the file and later scan. only thing concerns me that its missing torrent and download protection. Also blocks any third party task that modifies or requests for files - This maybe troublesome while playing games because they need to get access to their own files which the AV may block and your may encounter an error while launching the same. *Blocks any app from accessing your camera or mic. *Provides Online protection, scans your every moment so you don't download any malware, gives updates on websites that are unprotected or previously hacked etc. *Previously Detected a Worm on my system that even Norton didn't recognize.I was really impressed by it. Sometimes you may not find what you need to access because of it's complex menu system. *Its UI is friendly but it may take time to get used to it.

*First things first - You receive daily updates, they are sometimes annoying because you have to restart your pc for Bitdef to perform but still it's for your own sake.
